He was predeceased by: his father Calvin C. Hobbs; and his stepfather Gerald Schoenrock. He is survived by: his mother Shirley A. Schoenrock (Bricco); his sons, Ryan Hobbs, Cory Hobbs (Lacey) and Tony Hobbs (Lori); his siblings, Mike Hobbs, James Hobbs (Kathy) and Barb Ravy (Steve); and his grandchildren, Taylor, Logan, River, Paige, Ruby, Talen and Emberly. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews and friends.
