He was predeceased by: his parents, George Popke and Katherine Popke (Thiesen); and his sister Sandra Pankow. He is survived by: his wife Janice Riehl; his children, Ryan Popke and Renee Metherell; his grandchildren, Danielle, Alex, Hailee Dey (Mitchell), Emily Herter (Kaine), Austin, Asher, Aydin and Amara; his siblings, John Popke (Joy) and Karen Prindle; and his brothers-in-law, Steven Riehl (Ann) and Charles Riehl. He is also survived by six great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, January 15th 2025 from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Emanuel Lutheran Church - New London (200 E Quincy St, New London, WI 54961). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, January 15th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
