John left this world on September 23, 2024 at the age of 92, leaving a void in the lives of so many people. He was predeceased by: his parents, Adela Pieper (Kopitzke) and Harold Pieper; his brother Vernon Pieper; and his sister-in-law Joan Pieper. He is survived by: his wife Karen; his children, Kathy Golem (Jim), John Pieper (Kathy), Cindy Witt (Andy) and Greg Pieper (Sarah); his grandchildren, Chris Golem, Jon Golem (Heidi), Jason Pieper (Annette), Eric Pieper (Steph), Mason, Sam Haven, Tyson and Tate Pieper; his great grandchildren, Archie, Franklin Golem, Arnie, Leo Golem, Ollie Pieper and Sailor Pieper; and his cousin Dave Pieper.
