He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Irving Guernsey and Beatrice Guernsey (Demm); his siblings, Jimmy, Richard and Janet; his son Jeffrey Dorschner (Lisa); his grandchild Kaylee; his nephews, Jason Arndt (Jamie) and Josh Guernsey; his great-nieces and great-nephews, Derrick, Devin Harris and Carl Ganzen (Mimi); his pet Ginger; his wife Jan; his mother-in-law Helen; his son Mark; his sister-in-law Ida; his sibling Rene; his friend Jim Burns; and also George Lehl. He was also cherished by great nieces, great nephews, cousins and friends.

“My condolences to Skips family. Skip, Mick Barbeau, Pat Kelly and myself joined the Marine Corps together in 1962. Skips and our paths would not cross again until Danang, Vietnam in 1965 and then again not for over 50 years. Though we took different paths in life I shall always consider him a brother through the Marine Corps and our Vietnam service. God Bless you my friend as you join Mick in eternal peace.
