She was predeceased by: her parents, Thomas DeChant and Wilhelmina DeChant (Trybul); her husband Elmer H. Peterson; her son Elmer H. Peterson III; and her siblings, Delores DeChant, Joan Pupkiewicz, Richard DeChant and Gale DeChant.
She is survived by: her children, Cindy Peterson, Mark Peterson (Sue), David Peterson (Elizabeth Martinez), Dick Peterson (Sue) and Ruth Wiegand (Rob); and her siblings, RoseMarie Pieroni, Lynda Gauthier and Michael DeChant. She is also survived by seven grandchildren; six great grandchildren.
