He was predeceased by: his parents, Kimble Romberg and Eunice Romberg; his father-in-law Fred Birkholz; his sister Linda Hidde; and his siblings-in-law, Ronald Allen, Harold "Ike" Hidde, Darwin "Curley" Krenke and Betty Romberg.
He is survived by: his wife Sandra Romberg; his children, Bret Romberg (Janalea) and Jodi Benzel (Craig); his mother-in-law Arlene Birkholz; his grandchildren, Kaylee Olson (Erik), Max Olson and Mason Romberg; and his siblings, Virginia Driver (Dan), Jeanette Kalwitz (Don), Dorothy Allen, Donna Krenke, Barbara Dobbert (Frank), Betty Foley (Larry), Mary Ellen "Susie" Fields (John), Jim Romberg and Gary Romberg (Linda).
