He was predeceased by: his parents, Franklin Samson and Magadaline Samson (Weber); his daughter Brenda Jo; his siblings, Rose (Evan), Blanche (Tom), Betty, Hugh, Eugene-Russel and Mike; and his siblings-in-law, Bruce, Bernie, Gary, Francis and Judy.
He is survived by: his children, Melvin, Patrick and Ronda (Todd); his grandchildren, Ryan, Colton, Ashley, Amber and Patrick; his siblings, Ruthie, Pearl, Gerry, Judy, Dianne and Kenny (Pam); and his brother-in-law Donald. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
