He was predeceased by: his brother Louis Heimbruch (Shirley); his brother-in-law Louie Schultz; his son-in-law Vicki Werth; his grandson Travis Hackbarth; and also Gary Werth.

He is survived by: his wife Grace; his children, Ricky Heimbruch, Debbie Garrelts (Ron), Penny Hackbarth (Larry Kriesel), Neal Heimbruch (Teresa), Lenny Heimbruch (Kris) and Jolene Werth (Jerrod); his stepchildren, Deborah Schuelke (Don), Steven Schultz, Mark Schultz (Kris), Joseph Schultz, Troy Schultz (Arlene), Matt Schultz (Laura) and Kevin Schultz; and his siblings, Gloria Schultz, Fred Heimbruch (Judy) and Phil Heimbruch (Sandy). He is also survived by numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been established.
