He was predeceased by: his parents, Ernest Sommer and Ruth Sommer (Schroeder); his daughter Sabra Lien (Todd); and his siblings, Art (LaVerne), Elverna Drews (Wilber), Walter, Clarence (Doris), Louise Spiegelberg (Delvin), Helen Meier (Henry), Margaret Spice (Larry) and Velma.
He is survived by: his significant other Patricia James; his children, Alisa Rumpit (Peter), Sara DeFuria (Joe) and Justin Sommer (Katy); and his grandchildren, Connor, Jack, Braden, Kylee, Adrienne, Soleil and Luke. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and friends.
