It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Christine Van Straten of New London, Wisconsin, born in Waupaca, Wisconsin, who passed away on January 3, 2023, at the age of 67, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Marvin Sr. Harris and Geneva Harris (Cartwright); and her siblings, Diane Cummings, Marvin Harris and Gail Koch.
She is survived by: her children, Penny Fischer (Keith), Donald Van Straten (Amanda Ricker) and Darren "Tigger" Van Straten (Jennifer); her grandchildren, Brittnay Van Straten, Brandon Van Straten, Jordan Nelmark, Jolene Nelmark, Olivia Van Straten and Gavin Van Straten; her great grandchildren, Paxton Van Straten, Atreya Van Straten, June Van Straten and River Van Straten; her stepgreat-grandchildren, Emillie Rusche, Hayden Fischer, Abel Fischer, Marissa Fischer and Colton Scofield; her siblings, Donna Buelow, Darlene Brush (Ted) and Dave Koch; and her caregivers, Nancy, Nikki and Stephanie. She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
