He was predeceased by: his parents, Leonard Steinberg and Meta Steinberg (Maldewin); his grandson Gregg Deimer; his sons-in-law, Timothy Loescher and Glen Schwark; his siblings, Loretta, Dorothy, Joyce Meyers (Oscar) and Kenneth Steinberg; his nephew Brian Steinberg; and his brother-in-law Richard Marcks.
He is survived by: his wife Ethel Lippert; his children, Bev Deimer (Gary) of Marion, IA, Carla Schwark and David Steinberg; his grandchildren, Michele Brooks (Daniel) of Renton, WA, Adam Steinberg and Amanda Steinberg (Matt); his granddaughter-in-law Trish Deimer-Steineke; his great grandchildren, Morgen, Maren and Stella Brooks; his siblings, Dorla Marcks, Laverne Steinberg (Barbara) and Dennis Steinberg (Carol); and his sister-in-law Dawn Steinberg. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews and friends.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund is being established in Alvin's name.
