It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Geraldine Schumer (New Lisbon, Wisconsin), born in Olivia, Minnesota, who passed away on February 24, 2019, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Joseph Rodel and Mary Rodel; her siblings, Louis, Jerome, Benedict, Dorothy, Mary, Mathilda and Josephine (Arthur); and her children, James and Agnes.
She is survived by: her spouse Arthur Hubert Schumer of Bird Island, MN; and her children, Edward John, George, Mary and Walter.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to one of Geraldine's favorite charities: Padre Pio Foundation in San Giovani Rotondo, Italy, Sisters of Our Lady of Mercy in Dorchester, MA or the Benedictine Mission House in Schuyler, NE.
