It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Donald Mentzel of New Lisbon, Wisconsin, born in Chicago, Illinois, who passed away on July 1, 2021, at the age of 87, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Earl Mentzel and Olga Mentzel; his parents-in-law, John and Anna Jepperson; and his daughter Luanne.
He is survived by: his grandchildren, Linda (Alan Bishop), Elizabeth, Patricia Thompson, Sean Mentzel, Vickie (Brian Balo), Casey, Cullen, Clara Krasselt and Weber Mentzel; and his brother Richard Mentzel of Appleton. He is also survived by 4 great grandchildren, 3 great-great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
Memorial donations may be made to Winding Rivers Church or to the family for a future memorial .
