He is survived by: his wife Kari; his sons, Eric Olson of Wauwatosa and Andy Olson of Mauston; his granddaughter Alissa Sue Atherton; his brother Mart (Joyce); his nephew Casey Olson; and his niece Amanda Schmidt (Charley). He is also survived by cousins, aunts, uncles.
He won awards for the largest amount of donations for a group (the Lions) for the Alzheimer's organization two years in a row.
