She was predeceased by: her parents, Royal Gillis and Marie Gillis (Stommel); her parents-in-law, Melvin and Dorothy Freund; her son-in-law Jeff Mann; her siblings, Dan Gillis, John "Jack" Gillis, Gerald "Butz" Gillis (Barb), Paul "Pete" Gillis (Barb), Wayne Gillis, Judy Weyenberg (Jerry) and Colleen "Coco" Williams; and her brothers-in-law, Earl Jahnke, Darren Carley and Donald Freund.
She is survived by: her husband Wally Freund; her children, Tammy Mann of St. Cloud, Shannon Freund of Kiel and Sean Freund of Fond du Lac; her grandchildren, Lucas Mann (Miranda), Alexis LeBoeuf (Cole Peters) and Braedyn Kienbaum; her great grandchild Sofia Grace; her siblings, Kathleen Carley of Janesville, Patrick Gillis of Reedsville, Ken Gillis (Kathy) of Virginia, Mary Jahnke of Cadott, Tom Gillis (Barb) of Sherwood and Mike Gillis (Liz) of Appleton; and her siblings-in-law, Barbara Gillis of Neenah, Gloria Gillis of Appleton, Tom Williams of Texas, Roger Freund (Sandi) of West Allis and Steven Freund (Carrie) of Bowler. She is also survived by nieces; nephews; other relatives, and many friends.
Visitation was held on Sunday, March 2nd 2025 from 2:00 PM to 6:00 PM and on Monday, March 3rd 2025 from 9:30 AM to 10:30 AM. A prayer was held on Sunday, March 2nd 2025 at 4:00 PM at the Sippel Funeral Home - New Holstein (2618 Altona Ave, New Holstein, WI 53061). A Mass of Christian burial was held on Monday, March 3rd 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Our Lady of the Holyland Parish-St. Mary's (N10232 Co Rd G, New Holstein, WI 53061).
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to her family for the Marytown Community Center.
