He was predeceased by: his parents, Edgar Wordell and Linda Wordell (Zahn); his brother Karl; and his siblings-in-law, Myron Loppnow (Mike), Howard Lau, Daniel Pfeifer, William Pfeifer, John Pfeifer and Lenora Schuette.
He is survived by: his wife Carol Pfeifer; his children, Christine Gannigan (Leslie III), Deanna Backman (David), Churubusco and Todd Wordell (Angie); his grandchildren, Ty (Paige), Cray Backman, Bryce (Lauren), Jaris, Emily Gannigan, Alexandra and Tyler Wordell; his sisters, Janice Loppnow, Bonnie Lau and Connie Wordell; and his siblings-in-law, Delores Wordell, Myra Pfeifer, Ginny Pfeifer, Alton Pfeifer (Judy) and David Pfeifer. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
