He was predeceased by: his parents, Leo Franzen and Cecelia Franzen (Halfmann); his brother Elmer Franzen (Nathalie); his father-in-law Robert Schweitzer (Clara); his brother-in-law Robert Schweitzer Jr.; and his nephew Matthew Franzen.
He is survived by: his wife Mary Schweitzer; his children, Robert L. Franzen and Laurie Kim (Yu Chong) of Garland, TX.; his granddaughters, Megan and Taylor Kim; and his siblings-in-law, Judy Walsdorf (Ed), Vicki Schweitzer, Jane Rautmann (Steve), Jeff Schweitzer and Mark (Mary). He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
