He was predeceased by: his parents, Edward Hoefler and Anna Hoefler (Hartmann); his siblings, Joseph, Edmund, Herb Hoefler (Stella), Evelyn Koenig (Robert), Veronica Buchman (Ellsworth), Mary Grube (Charles) and Lucille Koenig (Ervin); his sisters-in-law, Emily Rusch (Leonard) and Marilyn Bratz (Johnny); and his parents-in-law, Edwin and Olive Drake.
He is survived by: his wife Margene Drake; his daughter Margene; his grandchildren, Rodd Hoefler (Jenni), Ross Hoefler (Donna), Todd Hoefler (Jennifer), Lynn Thibault (Bernie) and Jeff Hoefler; his brothers, George Hoefler (Mildred) and Lester Hoefler (Fern); and his sister-in-law Eunice Hoefler. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews other relatives and friends.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial has been established in his name.
