He was predeceased by: his parents, Wilhelm Ruef and Clara Ruef (Trachsel); and his brothers, Hugo and Willy Ruef. He is survived by: his sons, Carlos (Krystal) and Michael Ruef (Tanya); his grandchildren, Alexandro, Veyron, Avari, Elowen and Hollis; the mother of his child Sandy Ruef; his siblings, Fred Ruef (Carol) and Frieda Ruef; and his sister-in-law Carol Ruef. He is also survived by nieces, and nephews.
