Marilyn J. Mellenberger Obituary
With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Marilyn J. Mellenberger of New Glarus, Wisconsin, born in Madison, Wisconsin, who passed away on February 28, 2024 at the age of 83. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, John Mellenberger and Doris Mellenberger (Jordan); her sister Joyce Lapp; and her close friend Mary Schmid. She is survived by: her brother-in-law Dick Lapp of Rockford; and her godsons, Royal Mellenberger of Greenfield and Rusty Schmid of Monticello.
Marilyn had a thirst for learning new things and during 2022 amidst the COVID shutdown, she decided to teach herself how to crochet and began making scarves and hats for the homeless at the age of 81.
