He is survived by: his children, Christine Merriam, Cynthia (Richard Knoebel), John Von Arx (Elizabeth) and Peter Von Arx (Cheryl); and his sisters-in-law, DeAnne Von Arx, Barbara Waage and Esther Disch. He is also survived by five grandchildren, a great-grandchild, and a step-great-grandchild.
