He is survived by: his parents, Donald Rupnow and Jeanette Rupnow (Duerst); his wife Renee Duffy; his children, Brandon Rupnow (Lyndsay) and Bailey Rupnow (Andrew Mattson); his grandchildren, Gage and Hattie; his pets, Nova and Rex; his siblings, Lon Rupnow (Robin), Larry Rupnow (Brenda), Diane Rupnow (Tink Hendricks) and Linda Buzogany (Rob); and his father-in-law Eugene Duffy. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.

Memorials are suggested to the Nature Conservancy of Wisconsin.
