He was predeceased by: his parents, Omar Daoust and Louise Daoust (Fugere); his daughter Barbara; his son-in-law Richard Tauschek; his grandson-in-law Mark Reinhard; his siblings, Clarence Daoust (Marie), Joe Daoust (Jeneva), Leo Daoust (Baeb), Josephine Will (Anthony), Rita Daoust and Rose Vanden Langenberg (Lambert); and his brothers-in-law, Robert Sobieck, Richard Everard and Harold Sobiek (Elaine).
He is survived by: his wife Dorothy Hazel Sobiek; his granddaughters, Lori Tauschek, Lisa Johnson (Dan) and Jodi Reinhard (Jeromy Deprey); his sister Claire Van Schyndel; and his sisters-in-law, Nancy Sobieck and Jenny Everard. He is also survived by seven great-grandchildren.
