He was predeceased by: his parents, Jacob Craanen and Mary Craanen (VanLanen); his siblings, Donald Craanen (Genevieve), Rita Strebel (Ralph), Milton Craanen (Marilyn) and Dorothy Malzewski; his siblings-in-law, Ardella Craanen, Dorothy Wanek (Alvin), Delores Mleziva (David), John Klarkowski and Gary Balza; and his parents-in-law, Antone and Bernice Klarkowski (Mencheski).
He is survived by: his wife Lucille Klarkowski; his brother Clayton Craanen; and his sister-in-law Eleanore Balza. He is also survived by nieces and nephews, and many good friends.
