He was predeceased by: his parents, Norbert Den and Audrey Van Den (Pierquet); his son Cory Van Den Plas; his siblings, Gary Van Den Plas and Judy Van Den Plas; and his mother-in-law Elaine Mathys.
He is survived by: his wife Susan Hodek; his children, Tina Van Den Plas, Theresa Germundson, Todd Van Den (Sara) and Travis Van Den Plas; his grandchildren, Alex Van Den (Trisha), Owen Van Den Plas, Dani Van Den Plas and Abe Germundson; his siblings, Dale Van Den (Darlene) and Bonnie Marshall; and his sister-in-law Lisa Jeanquart (Tod). He is also survived by many other relatives and friends.
