He was predeceased by: his parents, Cora Kindt and Warren C. Kindt. He is survived by: his brother Warren Kindt; his nieces, Kelli Athay (Kenny) and Kristin Kindt; his nephew Kevin Kindt (Tamara Schoof); and his great-nephew Greg Malicki.

In lieu of flowers, memorials to Mt. Hope Lutheran Church would be appreciated.
