It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Shirley Ruth Gauger of New Berlin, Wisconsin, born in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, who passed away on September 22, 2020, at the age of 91, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Franc C. Carpenter and Myrtle J. Kaumers Carpenter; and her husband Robert "Bob" T. Gauger of New Berlin, WI. She is survived by: her children, Mark Gauger and Kris Thompson (Lance); her grandchildren, Sarah Bircher (Keith Caruthers), Christopher Gauger, Alex Thompson and Brandon Gauger; her great grandchild Penny Caruthers; and her nephew Dale Szymanski (Danielle).
Due to current social distancing measures, a private graveside funeral with family will be held at Houston National Cemetery.
