He was predeceased by: his brother Raymond; his parents, Roy Freiberg and Cecilia Freiberg; and his pet Typhoon. He is survived by: his spouse Kerry Freiberg (Bublitz); his niece Therese Freiberg; his nephew Saul Newton; his sister-in-law Mary Catherine Freiberg; his parents-in-law, James and Bonnie Bublitz; and his friends, Tom and Deborah Andera.
