Richard Bodus Obituary

Richard Bodus 76, of New Berlin, Wisconsin, passed away on March 4, 2024 at his residence of five years , East Troy Manor. Richard was born in New Berlin, Wisconsin 1948 to Daniel and Elizabeth Bodus . He graduated from Catholic Memorial High School in 1966 before studying Economics at Marquette University and graduating with a Bachelor of Arts degree in 1970. He worked as a farmer for the majority of his life on farms in New Berlin, Hancock and Cumberland Wisconsin before retiring. Richard took great pleasure in generously sharing his produce with family and friends . He loved music, playing piano, singing karaoke, baseball, league bowling, camping , and good ol' Wisconsin fish fries. Richard was a man of strong faith and was very devoted to his family . He lived a modest, generous and humble life. Richard was preceded in death by his parents , Daniel and Elizabeth and in-laws Norene Bodus and Gregory Ohme, Sr. He is survived by siblings Daniel (the late Norene) Bodus, Jr., Janet (Kevin) LaDue, Robert Bodus, Marilyn (the late Gregory) Ohme, Annmarie (Frank) Fierek and many nieces and nephews. Visitation for Richard will be at Schmidt and Bartelt Funeral Home (930 Main Street. Mukwonago) Wednesday March 13, 2024 from 4:00-7:00 PM. Rosary service at 7:00 PM. Requiem mass will be held Thursday March 14, 2024 at 10:00 AM at Saint Pius V Chapel (425 Grand Avenue. Mukwonago , WI). Burial to follow at Oak Ridge Cemetery, East Troy, WI.
