He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert Cates and Eleanor Cates. He is survived by: his children, Angela Machesky (Brian), Jasmine Keller (Brian) and Eric Cates; his grandchildren, Tyler Machesky (Jenna), Brittany Machesky, Zachary Keller, Dylan Keller, Mackenzie Machesky, Aubrey Landis and Logan Keller; his great grandchild Paisley James Kolbow; his girlfriend Sandy Novesky; and his siblings, Kathy Karlson (Keith), Alan Cates (Cory) and Peggy Hudson (Jeff). He is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts, uncles and friends.
