He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph E. McGavock and Hazel McGavock; his wife Betty Merryfield; his son Michael McGavock; and his siblings, Nancy Hoeppner (Bill) and Donald McGavock.
He is survived by: his children, Donald McGavock (Lou) of North Prairie, Robert McGavock (Donna) of New Berlin and Mary Jo McGavock (Robert Motola) of New Berlin; his daughter-in-law Susan McGavock of Waukesha; his grandchildren, Erin Burns (Tom), Christopher McGavock (Shannon), Kyle McGavock (Megan), Kellie Kuehn (Nathan), Cassondra McGavock, Nicole McGavock and Daniel McGavock; and his great grandchildren, Bailey, Shea, Mya, Reagan, Harper, Kayden, Camden and Nolan. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
In lieu of flowers, Masses are appreciated in Joe's name at St. Luke Catholic Church.
