He was loved and cherished by many people including: his wife Elaine; his children, Robert (Patricia), Mary Strehlow (Charles), Thomas (Pamela), James and Cathryn Christiansen (James); his grandchildren, Nicholas Schumacher (Margaret), Alexander Schumacher (Abigail), Andrew Schumacher, Matthew Strehlow (Kathleen), Eric Strehlow (April), Lindsey Green (Joseph), Christina Schumacher (Kevin Psoter), Thomas Schumacher (Elizabeth), Theresa Christiansen and Joseph Christiansen; his great grandchildren, Patrick, Owen, Clare, Elizabeth, Luke, Matthew, Amelia, Emma, Eli, Simon, John, Benito, Francesco, Tallulah, Beatrix, Lev and Eloise; his sister Ruth Schumacher; his siblings-in-law, Warren Hahn (Patricia), Cynthia Borchardt (Steven) and Russell Hahn (late Mary Alyce); and his parents, Edmund Schumacher and Isabel Schumacher. He was also cherished by nieces, nephews, other relatives, and many friends.
