He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Eugene Schmidt and Flora Schmidt (Ritz); his daughter Cynthia Schmidt (Bob Suycott) of Menomonee Falls; his brother Richard Schmidt of Arizona; and his nieces and nephews, Fredrick of Arizona, Michael of Arizona, Daniel (Shara) of Arizona, Kenneth Schmidt (Lynelle) of Arizona, Barbara Schroeder (Al) of Muskego, Ralph Englert of Florida, Clark Schmidt of Florida, Clare Schmidt of Florida and Craig Schmidt of Montana. He was also cherished by the youngest of six siblings.
