He was predeceased by: his parents, Benjamin Erdmann and Sylvia Erdmann; his wife Doris Ann (Norma); and his son Gerald Jr.. He is survived by: his children, Marilynn Erdmann, Robert Erdmann (Carol) and Steven Erdmann (Sherry); his stepchild Gail Ankerson; and his brothers, Kenneth Erdmann (Louise) and James Erdmann (Barbara). He is also survived by eight grandchildren, seventeen great-grandchildren, one great, great grandchild, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

In lieu of flowers, memorials to the Wisconsin Humane Society appreciated.
