Conrad LeBeau wrote a sympathy message

“As a member of Mary Queen of Mary parish since 1996, I always looked forward to Deacon Gene;s sermons. His presentations touched our hearts and enlightened our intellects. He was true to his convictions and beliefs. He served his Lord and Savior, his family, parish, and community well. He will be missed. May he rest in peace and be reunited in the afterlife with his friends and relatives who have gone before him. My condolences to his family, his extended family, and friends. Conrad LeBeau”
