He was predeceased by: his sister Cheryl Gones; and his sister-in-law Janice Stern (late Vic). He is survived by: his wife Diane; his sons, Steven and Bradley Gones (Jessica); his grandchildren, Taylor and Lily; his siblings, Diane Abram (Dick), Lynn Sweeney (Brian) and Chuck Gones; and his brother-in-law Tom Michelson (Iris). He is also survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
