He was predeceased by: his parents, Richard Stapleman and Elaine Stapleman (Meske); and his brothers, Jerry and Richard Stapleman. He is survived by: his children, Paula Bar-Din and Michael Stapleman (Michelle); his grandchildren, Alisha Pournaras, Ian Bar-Din and Jakob Bar-Din; his great grandchildren, Elias, Niko and Milo Pournaras; his nephew Todd Stapleman; his friends, Dell, Cherie Tuttle, John, Herta, Mario and Tess; and also, Mike and John Tuttle. He is also survived by other relatives and friends.
