He was predeceased by: his parents, Henry Kemps and Jeanette Miller Kemps; and his siblings, Marion Fast, Russell Kemps and Ralph Kemps.
He is survived by: his wife Trudy Theiss; his children, Steve Kemps (Tish), Peter Kemps (Susan), Lisa Ropella, Shelley Sonsthagen (Mike), Andy Kemps (Dawn), Jamie Kemps, Marty Kemps (Tavi) and Barbara Kemps; his stepson Derek Kosiorek (Sara); and his siblings-in-law, Terry King (Dick), John Theiss (Lois) and Rick Theiss. He is also survived by numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
