It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Jolene Renae (Stein) Medeiros of Nelson, Wisconsin, born in Lake City, Minnesota, who passed away on January 24, 2021, at the age of 38, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her grandfathers, Dennis Lichtblau and Arden Stein. She is survived by: her parents, Denise Braatz (Russell) and Randy Stein (Alice) of Lake City, Minnesota; her daughters, Briana and Brooklynn Smolek; the father of her children Brian Smolek of Nelson, Wisconsin; her stepdaughter Samantha Medeiros; her brother Jason Stein (Tara Gullickson) of Mazeppa, Minnesota; her nephews, Weston and Triston Stein; her grandmothers, Norma Bulver of Wabasha and Charlotte VanZanten of Pepin, Wisconsin; her stepgrandmother Barb Lichtblau of Mazeppa, Minnesota; her aunts, Susan Wedrickas (Joe) of Red Wing and Shari Vars (Cliff) of Austin, Texas; her stepsiblings, Jody Nye of Colorado, Melissa Schumacher (Karl) of Waterville, Minnesota and Shane Braatz of Plainview, Minnesota; and her nieces, Autumn and Ava Schumacher. She is also survived by cousins and many friends.
