He was predeceased by: his parents, Johnnie Johnson and Margaret Johnson (McNish); and his siblings, Raymond, Ronald Johnson, Willard Mathis, Arleane Erickson and Glenis Hentges.
He is survived by: his wife Yvonne Sandberg; his children, Jeff (Michelle) of Nelson, Sheri Denowski (Dave) of Peshtigo, Tim (Amy), Valerie Fedie (James) of Altoona and Ricky (DeeDee) of Nelson; his grandchildren, Alex (John), Sarah (Gerald), Jacob (Nicole), Ellie (Peter), Ted (Andi), Maggie (Joel), Isabelle, Kathryn, Eden, TJ, Anna, Mary, Isak, Lacie and Mason (Paige); his great grandchildren, Owen, Henry, Aria, Hannah, Weston, Reed and Jesse; his sisters, Marilyn Rud (Jerry) of Mondovi and Janis Gibson (Bill) of Eau Claire; and his sister-in-law Pauline Johnson of Arcadia, IA. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, February 27th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM and on Friday, February 28th 2025 at 10:30 AM at the Rhiel Funeral Home (615 12th Ave E, Durand, WI 54736). A funeral service will be held on Friday, February 28th 2025 at 11:30 AM at the Lyster Lutheran Church (W1771 Co Rd D, Nelson, WI 54756).
