Though David may have slipped beyond the veil of mortality, his essence lingers like a faint fragrance in the air, a lingering reminder of the beauty and complexity of the human experience.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Walter Gerdes and Leona Gerdes (Jennings); his wife Bonnie O'Brien; and his sisters, Linda and Lola.
He is survived by: his daughters, Lona Bea Thomas (Chuck) of Baltimore, MD and LeNae Mae Markham (Chris) of Lake City, MN; and his grandchildren, Tyler, Caleb, Carrianna, Bronson and Carli. He is also survived by 15 great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
A funeral service was held on Saturday, January 4th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Rhiel Funeral Home (615 12th Ave E, Durand, WI 54736).
