He is survived by: his children, Tony Merrill (Theresa) of Cable, Mary Buschke (Bob) of Beaver Dam, Robert Merrill Jr. of Wisconsin Rapids, Kevin Merrill of Wisconsin Rapids, Vicki Schiradelly (Mark) of Baraboo and Robin Krause. He is also survived by 17 grandchildren; 22 great grandchildren; two great great grandchildren.
