He is survived by: his wife Ellen Bellgraph; his former wife Wis; his grandchildren, Anastasia, Nathaniel, Celia, Alex, Myrica, Joshua, Christopher and Rebekah; his siblings, David Thayer (Sandy) of Grand Rapids, Jane Yost (Gerry) of Newaygo, Joan Mysliwiec (Mike) of Byron Center, Jeanne Stricker (Rodney) of Traverse City, Janet Ogden (Bill) of Grand Rapids, Mary Henning of Grand Rapids, Andrew Thayer (Lisa) of Grand Rapids, Betty Smith (Patrick) of Wyoming, Carla Gauld (Gale) of Fife Lake and Everell Thayer (Cheryl) of Hilo, Hawaii; and also, Joseph Thayer of Nashville, Morningstar Thayer Skoien of Stoughton, Rebecca Thayer (Chuck) of King's Beach, Samuel Price (Melissa) of Weyerhaeuser and Gabrielle Grimes (Patrick) of Shorewood, Wisconsin. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
