He is survived by: his parent-in-law Kay Ruud; his wife Kay; his children, Carrie (John Krause) of Vesper, WI, Traci Mendieta (Geronimo) of Port Edwards, WI and Justin (Bianca Nelson); his stepson Brent Mindock (Kathy) of Prentice, WI; his granddaughters, Kaylee Mendieta, Rylyn Hanish and Blakely Hanish; his stepgrandsons, Tanner Mindock, Sawyer Haubert, Jaegar Haubert and Geronimo Mendieta, Jr.; and his siblings, Teresa Olvera, Debra Hanish, Joe Hanish, Lori Hart (Don), Vern Hanish (Becki) and Julia Hanish. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins.
