She was predeceased by: her parents, William Thielen and Sophia Thielen (Tritz); her former husband Melvin Schalla; her husband Gordon Krubsack; her grandson Cory Sullivan; her siblings, Mariezita Boyles (James), Orion Thielen (Wilhemena), Eugene Thielen (Geraldine) and William Thielen Jr. (JoAnn); and her nieces, Judith Toles and Janice Votava.
She is survived by: her children, Sharlyn Passehl (Marvin), Paulette Sullivan (James), Gail Anderson (Ronald), Larry Krubsack (Carol) and Kathleen Davis (David); and her grandchildren, Dale Passehl (Susan), Daryl Passehl, Chad Sullivan (Heather), Criste Greening (Joe), Brynn Richtmyre (Todd), Daniel Anderson (Lauren), Michael Anderson (Samantha), Brian Krubsack (Sarah), Kelly Bluell (Mike), Samantha Emerson (Dylan), Joey Mae Davis and Jesse Davis. She is also survived by 28 great-grandchildren.
