He was predeceased by: his siblings, Berta, Rosa, Angela, Manuel and Valentin.

He is survived by: his wife Susana Rodriguez; his children, Sergio Rodriguez (Elodia), Manuel Rodriguez (Nora), Angie Alday (Alex), Maria Elena Vollert, Rita Austin, Rosalia Steinhafel (Pete), Anthony Pabst and Anna Pabst; and his brothers, Antonio, Armando (Gloria) and Lupe. He is also survived by 22 grandchildren; four great grandchildren.
