He was predeceased by: his parents, Raymundo Otero and Vicenta Otero (Garcia); and his siblings, Miguel Angel Otero, Raymundo Otero, Lamberto Otero, Clementina Otero, Manuel Otero and David Otero.
He is survived by: his wife Martha Otero; his children, Jovany Otero (Shanley), Julio Otero, Marco Otero, Veronica Otero (James Jenner), Selena Otero, Brenda Otero (Walter Carrillo), Maria D. Otero (Housworth), Francisco Javier Otero (Michele) and Irma Otero; and his sisters, Alicia Otero, Evangelina Otero and Maria Teresa Otero. He is also survived by 15 grandchildren.
