He was predeceased by: his parents, Leonard Christensen and Helen Christensen (Schultz); his wife LaVina Hoffman; his siblings, Richard "Popeye", John Christensen and Shirley Howland (Charles); his grandchild Tai Boardman; his son-in-law Jim Zellmer; and his siblings-in-law, Edward "Pat" Benjamin, Kathleen "Beanie" and Barbara Christensen.
He is survived by: his children, Kim Boardman (Mike), Kris Zellmer, Mitch Christensen, Todd Christensen and Kelly Schwandt; his grandchildren, Jim Christensen (Kelsey), Josh Christensen (Renee), Cole Boardman, Chase Boardman (Angie), Brady Schwandt and Chaz Schwandt; his siblings, Carol Benjamin, Kenneth "Tom" Christensen, Denny Christensen (Kay) and Duane "Babe" Christensen; and his sister-in-law Elaine Christensen. He is also survived by nine great grandchildren.
