He was predeceased by: his parents, Richard Carlson and Edith Carlson (Jero-Phelps); his son Steven; his siblings, Richard Carlson, Donald Carlson, Archie Phelps and Dorothy Laemmerhirt; and his siblings-in-law, Willilam Laemmerhirt, Curtis Oleson, Lilas Carlson, Millie Phelps, Francis Wesley, Denna Winters and LaVera Hamann.
He is survived by: his former wife Maude Long; his wife Marveen Oleson of Nekoosa; his children, Scott and Tina Krummel (Jon) of Wis; his grandson Robert Krummel (Samantha) of Wisc; his great grandchildren, Destiny Zernicke, Dalton Krummel and Soren Carlson; his brother Leon Carlson; and his siblings-in-law, Wesley Oleson, Daniel Oleson (LaVon), Kenneth Winters and Marion Oleson. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
He was the Lion Foundation director in 1991 and served on the Sight, Hearing, and Camp committees until 1997.
