He is survived by: his children, Stephen Kaste (Laurie Harrison) and Julie Newton (Paul); his grandchildren, Jacob Mercier, Philip Mercier, Rebecca Mercier and Heather Dominas (David); his great grandchildren, Liam, June Mercier and Grace Brown; his siblings, Earl Kaste (Terry) and Elaine Kratochvil (Dan); and his close friend Kathy Blumberg.
